Shuttles during ArtPrize

There is free Rapid service (Grand Rapids public transit system) during ArtPrize hours for visitors wearing ArtPrize wristbands.

Anyone with an ArtPrize wristband can ride the ArtPrize Shuttle and The Rapid for free during ArtPrize hours. (Pick up a wristband and event guide for $15 when you register to vote.)

How was the ArtPrize shuttle route decided?

The shuttle loop was designed to hit each ArtPrize neighborhood with stops that were within walking distance to a high density of venues, working around construction areas, of course. To keep the shuttles running every 15-30 minutes, and prevent the loop from becoming a two hour bus ride, it was not an option to create a route that hits all 159 venues. It was not financially viable for multiple routes to run simultaneously this year. However, the partnership with The Rapid provides a lot more options to get around in the AP district.
