What About the Children?

rapid-signAs you may know, anyone wearing an ArtPrize wristband can ride the Shuttle and all Rapid buses for free during ArtPrize hours. (Pick up your wristband with your event guide at a voter registration site for $15.)

Many have asked if their children can ride the Shuttle or the Rapid without a wristband. The short answer is yes. Children under the age of 16 accompanied by a wristband wearer can ride both the Shuttle and The Rapid for free during ArtPrize hours.

Hours for The Rapid

  • Opening night, Wed 9/23 5PM-end of service
  • Mon-Thu 4PM-end of service
  • Fri-Sun 11AM-end of service

Hours for AP shuttle

  • Opening night, Wed 9/23, 4-10PM *Free to ALL visitors
  • Mon-Thu 5-9PM
  • Fri-Sat Noon-10PM
  • Sun Noon-6PM

    An artist who I share my venue with, had a splendid idea for next year; Give the children a vote.

    How wonderful (and I’m sure — a nightmare to figure out, technologically) it would be to have a “Kid’s Choice”!

    I can’t tell you how many kids I saw walking through the venues with notebook in hand, carefully recording their picks.
